Genetic Mutations and impact on melanoma treatment pathways

Jan 16, 2025, 1-2 pm

This session aims to empower nurses with an enhanced understanding of genetic mutations in melanoma and their implications for treatment decisions. By exploring the genetic drivers behind melanoma, nurses can play a vital role in guiding patients through the complexities of immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and emerging treatments, ultimately supporting personalised care and better outcomes.

Learning outcomes:

  • Explain the role of genetic mutations in melanoma progression and treatment, enabling nurses to understand how these mutations influence the selection of targeted therapies, immunotherapy, and emerging treatment options.

  • Integrate knowledge of genetic mutations into nursing practice, allowing nurses to provide informed education and support to patients undergoing complex melanoma treatments, fostering personalised care and improved patient outcomes.

Audience: MIA program nurses - live event. Recording to be available to a larger nursing cohort.
