A/Prof Campbell is medical graduate from the University of Sheffield in the UK. Prior to his appointment at University Hospital Geelong in 2002, he completed adult physician training in internal medicine at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, before undertaking clinical and laboratory haematology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney and University College Hospital, London. A/Prof Campbell established Victoria’s only regional autologous stem cell transplant service in 2003 in collaboration with the Royal Melbourne Hospital Bone Marrow Transplant Service. He is an active member of both the Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand and the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group.

Currently he is holding the position of Director Cancer Services, University Hospital, Barwon Health.

His current clinical research interests include multicentre, collaborative national and international trials in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and multiple myeloma.
