Did you know that approximately 40% of individuals diagnosed with cancer are of working age?
As individuals move beyond the realm of specialists' care, the challenge of achieving work and career aspirations often becomes a solitary journey. How can we collectively enhance work outcomes for this expanding community? Uncover the important roles of cancer supportive care teams and employers, in empowering those navigating work during and after cancer.

Work is intricately woven into our identities, and when cancer intersects with our working lives, it profoundly affects not just the individuals but families and wider social networks. In this webinar, a panel of experts, including those with lived experiences, discuss the opportunities for improving outcomes for individuals juggling work, careers, and cancer.

Drawing from lived experiences and research, the webinar unpacks topics such as:
- the cancer and work intersection
- the role of cancer care and survivorship teams, as individuals transition from specialists
- supportive care in our workplaces, beyond legal obligations
- person-centred, reasonable adjustments, beyond flexibility
- essential manager skills, to go beyond empathy
- tips for enduring work participation despite cancer

Discover how to create compassionate pathways for those ‘doing cancer’ and their carers so they retain (or regain) their sense of purpose, identity, and ‘normalcy’, social interaction, and financial security.
