The Zero Childhood Cancer Program: Experience and impact of a precision medicine platform

2 May 2025

This forum will focus on diagnostic and therapeutic clinical utility of the Zero Childhood Cancer Program.

It is a world-leading precision medicine program for children with cancer, which brings together leading clinicians and researchers around Australia and internationally.

Involving all paediatric oncology units across Australia, and over 22 national and international research partners, ZERO provides in-depth genomic analysis for each child enrolled, with the aims to improve survival, reduce side effects, and advance science’s understanding of childhood cancer for the benefit of all.

More than 2000 children with cancer have been enrolled across Australia since 2017. Now, all children diagnosed with cancer in Australia have access to precision medicine.

It will include examples from key areas and clinical cases to highlight the benefits of molecular and precision medicine.
