Dr Liz Connolly is a clinician-researcher specialising in sarcoma. She is a Medical Oncologist at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and an Oncology Research Fellow at ProCan, Children's Medical Research Institute. Her position is supported by the Tony Denny Foundation Sarcoma Research Scholarship through the Cooper Rice-Brading Foundation and an ANZSA Sarcoma Clinical Research Fellowship. Dr Connolly completed a dedicated sarcoma clinical research fellowship at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse (2020–2021) and a translational PhD in sarcoma at the Children's Medical Research Institute (2021–2025), applying mass spectrometry-based proteomics to rare sarcoma tissue samples. She has established national and international collaborations with institutions including WEHI, the Garvan Institute, the Hudson Institute, and MD Anderson Cancer Center, and has contributed to multicentre clinical and translational studies, Australian sarcoma guidelines, and international working groups.
