This webinar is tailored for melanoma nurses aiming to deepen their understanding of targeted therapies in melanoma management.
This session will explore the indications for targeted therapies, delve into the various types and their associated side-effect profiles, and focus on nurse-led strategies for patient care. Nurses will gain insights into effective approaches for identifying and managing complications and delivering medication education, equipping them with the knowledge to offer comprehensive care and patient education.

- Identify the indication and mechanisms of action of key targeted therapies used in melanoma treatment
- Differentiate between the main types of targeted therapies and describe their common side-effect profiles
- Apply nurse-led strategies for monitoring, managing and educating patients about the side effects and complications of targeted therapies

Hayley Burridge Hayley Burridge is the Melanoma and Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Consultant at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, bringing extensive expertise in the clinical management of skin cancer. Hayley began her nursing career in oncology after graduating with a Bachelor of Nursing and has since held diverse surgical and medical roles across New Zealand and the UK. She has further advanced her knowledge by completing several postgraduate oncology courses in both London and Australia. |
