Genetic Mutations and impact on melanoma treatment pathways

Published Caitlin Broomhall on

This webinar aimed to empower nurses with an enhanced understanding of genetic mutations in melanoma and their implications for treatment decisions. By exploring the genetic drivers behind melanoma, nurses can play a vital role in guiding patients through the complexities of immunotherapy, targeted therapies and emerging treatments, supporting personalised care and better outcomes.

What you will learn

After this session, nurses will be able to:

01

Explain genetic mutations in melanoma progression and treatment

Understand how genetic mutations influence the selection of targeted therapies, immunotherapy and emerging treatment options.

02

Integrate genetic mutation knowledge into nursing practice

Provide informed education and support to patients undergoing complex melanoma treatments, fostering personalised care and improved patient outcomes.
