Melanoma Nursing Webinar Program
Immunotherapy toxicities: less common and rare side-effects, nurse-led assessment and management
July 17, 2025
This webinar is designed for melanoma nurses seeking to expand their knowledge of less common and rare side-effects of immunotherapy in melanoma treatment.
While some immunotherapy toxicities are common but manageable, less common and rare side-effects can create additional complexities. This session will explore immunotherapy toxicities, and present case studies of less common and rare side-effects, discussing implications for nurses in assessment and management.
Nurses will gain insights into nurse-led approaches and management of potentially serious or life-threatening side-effects, equipping them with the knowledge to provide comprehensive care and patient education.
Learning outcomes:
- Recognise the spectrum of immunotherapy toxicities
- Differentiate between less common but serious and rare but potentially life-threatening side effects
- Discuss nursing approaches in assessing and managing less common and rare side effects
- Equip nurses with tools and language to educate patients on recognising and reporting symptoms
Pre-reading/learning:
-
