Digital psycho-oncology interventions are playing an increasingly important role in cancer care however few have been developed for the specific needs of patients with advanced disease.
To address this gap, clinical psychologist Associate Professor Lisa Beatty and her team at Flinders University, have co-designed Finding My Way – Advanced, a six-module self-guided Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) -based program for women with metastatic breast cancer.

Lisa Beatty is an Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology at Flinders University and a visiting Consulting Clinical Psychologist in Medical Oncology at Flinders Medical Centre. She has over 17 years of research and clinical expertise in the field of psycho-oncology and has attracted over $2M in competitive project grant and salary funding. Lisa has published over 50 journal articles/book chapters/reviews and has received five awards in recognition of her work, including a 2017 South Australian Young Tall Poppy Science Award.
VCCC Alliance Grand Rounds
The VCCC Alliance Research and Education (R&E Lead) Breast Cancer program has developed a learning environment where researchers and clinical care teams can share information to improve cancer outcomes.
The VCCC Alliance Breast Cancer Grand Round aims to provide a shared view of what is happening in the development of breast cancer care and is helping to stimulate discussion and collaborations among experienced and novice researchers and clinicians.
The VCCC Alliance Breast Cancer Grand Round is targeted at a clinical audience and features open discussion about real cases and patients. While these cases are de-identified, the imagery, content and discussion can be graphic. It is not appropriate for consumer participants.
