Cancer Mind Care is a free, self-help online platform that offers tailored mental health support for people with cancer, their support persons, clinicians, and First Nations peoples.
With all details kept anonymous and confidential, Cancer Mind Care represents a non-threatening, first step for individuals seeking access to cancer psychology support and services. It helps to address the significant gap in psycho-oncology services across Victoria, in the absence of or delays in access to services.
The online platform allows users to create a personalised Cancer Mind Plan based on their response to a series of mental wellness questions. Once generated, the plan directs patients to information and resources tailored to their needs across 11 different areas of psycho-oncology in the People with Cancer portal:
