Welcome

Welcome to the Sexual Health and Cancer Hub – home of the Sexual Function Intimacy Concerns after Cancer (SexFICC) program.

SexFICC is an education program for healthcare professionals involved in the care of individuals with cancer. SexFICC is designed to increase comfort, confidence, knowledge and skills in supporting people to address sexual health concerns related to cancer and cancer treatment.

Why Sexual Health Matters

Sexual health, including sexual function, pleasure, and intimacy, are fundamental human rights and are integral to overall quality of life. Yet, many people, including healthcare professionals, are unaware of the potential impact that cancer and cancer treatments can have on sexual health. Sexual health changes that are unidentified and unaddressed can have lasting and devastating consequences for individuals and their partner(s).

This hub provides healthcare professionals with practical, inclusive and culturally safe education and resources to support individuals in their care to identify and manage sexual health concerns for patients affected by cancer.
