Learning Aims
- To recognise the relationship between the PARTNER Network, a clinical trial and general practice
- To understand the fundamental elements of the lifecycle of a clinical trial and the impact design has on how a trial will be conducted in general practice
Learning Objectives
This module will introduce you to:
- The PARTNER Network
- The different types of clinical trials that are conducted in general practice
- Introduce novel software that are helping to improve the quality and reach of clinical trials conducted in general practice
Learning Outcomes
- To understand how the PARTNER Network will increase capacity in rural and regional areas of Australia to conduct and participate in clinical trials
- To be able to describe the differences between cluster and individually randomised controlled trials
- To understand how general practices and general practice staff are involved throughout the lifecycle of a clinical trial
- To gain knowledge on how different clinical trials could be conducted in (their) general practice
