Radiation and Immunotherapy Combinations
Monday Lunch Livestream
With Associate Professor Gerry Hanna, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre
22 February 2021
Whilst radiation therapy is still seen as core treatment and is known to elicit an immune response, combination therapy has been highly successful in a range of treatment settings. However, there still is a lot of unknown regarding the interaction of the two treatments and how to avoid enhanced toxicity from their combinations. Associate Professor Hanna reviews the synergy between radiotherapy and immunotherapy research at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
Aim: to explore the synergy between radiotherapy and immunotherapy research.
Learning Objective: Participants will further their awareness of research currently conducted at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in combination therapy.
