This webinar was designed for nurses seeking to expand their knowledge of radiation therapy in melanoma treatment. While surgery and systemic therapies remain the primary approaches, radiation therapy plays a crucial role in select cases. This session explored when and why radiation is used, including its role in adjuvant therapy, palliative care, treatment of inoperable cases and brain metastases, and gave nurses insights into radiation techniques, expected patient responses and common side effects.
