RECAP Journal Club: The Out with Cancer Study

Author in the Room Series

This virtual journal club session was held on 26 June 2025. Please see the recording below.

The RECAP (Regional Evidence, Collaboration and Practice) Journal Club is a quarterly initiative supported by the Cancer Patient Support Program (CPSP) Grant, showcasing peer-reviewed articles that reflect international best practice, led by regional hosts and paper authors. In our first 'Author in the Room' Journal Club, Dr Rosalie Power led a discussion on one of the studies from the Out With Cancer research project—examined through a regional and rural lens.

The Out with Cancer Study

Facilitated by Dr Kate Wislang, Medical Oncologist and Acting Medical Lead Cancer Services for the Rural Support Service, South Australia, this session delivered a powerful and thought-provoking conversation exploring LGBTQIA+ cancer care, with a particular focus on regional and rural health contexts.
