Registry-based Clinical Trials (Reg-CTs): A Training Program

Providing Registry-based Clinical Trial (Reg-CT) related training to our workforce to increase the number of Reg-CTs available nationally.

Aim:
This course aims to increase our clinical trial workforce and enable clinical trial professionals to conduct more Reg-CTs which in turn increases access to clinical trials for patients.

Learning Outcomes:

The Registry-Based Clinical Trials (Reg-CTs) training modules will provide an overview of the Reg-CTs model and how it differentiates from current clinical trial models by:

  • Defining Registry-based Clinical Trials and how they are run.
  • Exploring how Registry-based Clinical Trial bridge the gap by combining conventional trial methodology with a clinical registry to answer real world clinical questions.
  • Defining how a clinical registry works and the integration of randomised controlled trials into registry frameworks.
  • Explaining the distinct process for conducting Registry-based Clinical Trials

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this training program, our workforce will be able to:

  • Examine the characteristics of Registry-based Clinical Trials.
  • Differentiate between Registry-based Clinical Trials and conventional clinical trials.
  • Consider the advantages of Registry-based Clinical Trials for participants.
  • Determine the distinct process for conducting Registry-based Clinical Trials.
