Sessions

Introduction — 3 min

Session 1: Setting the scene — 14 min
An opening overview of the challenges of managing immune-related toxicity, particularly when severe, atypical or steroid-refractory presentations fall outside the usual guidelines and require multidisciplinary judgement.

Session 2 Part I: Clinical spotlights — 70 min
Five specialists explore some of the organ systems most commonly affected by checkpoint-inhibitor toxicity: colitis, hepatitis, nephritis, rheumatic irAEs and pneumonitis. Each spotlight looks at the clinical decisions that arise when standard guidance is no longer enough.

Session 2 Part II: Clinical spotlights — 43 min
Further clinical spotlights focus on rarer and higher-risk presentations, including myocarditis, neurological complications and patients with solid organ transplants, where evidence is limited and clinical judgement becomes especially important.

Session 3: Panel discussion — 53 min
The faculty works through three complex cases in the format of an irAE multidisciplinary meeting, chaired by Dr Samuel Harris, showing how these cases can be approached in practice.
